USA Basketball National Team Managing Director Grant Hill has provided insights into Kevin Durant’s anticipated availability for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Kevin Durant was a notable absentee from Team USA’s roster in their first exhibition game against Team Canada.

The Americans secured an 86-72 victory in Las Vegas, but Durant’s absence raised questions.

Hill expressed optimism about Durant’s participation, noting his progress in rehabilitation.

“Durant will be on the plane. He’s been working and rehabbing. He’s looked great. I think we are just being cautious and conservative. I think we expect to see him on the court when we are in Abu Dhabi,” Hill said, via Michael Scotto.

Despite Kawhi Leonard’s departure, Team USA remains focused on their upcoming exhibition games.

Leonard was replaced by Derrick White, who recently won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics.

Team USA will travel to Abu Dhabi for exhibition games against Australia and Serbia on July 15 and 17.

They will also play two exhibition games in London against South Sudan and Germany on July 20 and 22.

As the reigning Olympic champions, Team USA aims to defend their title in Group C.

Their group includes Puerto Rico, Serbia, and South Sudan.
