LeBron James is returning to Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics at the age of 39, with the clear objective of winning a gold medal.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar emphasized the collective commitment required for this goal.
“We all have to make sacrifices for being here and understanding what it means to represent Team USA,” James stated.
He underscored that no player aims to dominate individually but rather to contribute to the team’s success.
“No one is looking forward to coming in and scoring 30 or getting 17 rebounds. We want to play for each other,” James added.
James highlighted the unity and shared purpose among the team members.
“There are 11 other guys besides me that I want to play for and vice versa. Our only goal is to win a gold medal representing Team USA with utmost respect,” he said.
James expressed excitement about the opportunity to represent his country again.
“We’re all excited and delighted to be here,” he noted.
James last played for the national team 12 years ago at the 2012 London Olympics.
Team USA will compete in Group C alongside Puerto Rico, Serbia, and South Sudan.
