Anthony Edwards, the rising star of the Minnesota Timberwolves, has been touted as the future face of the NBA and compared to the legendary Michael Jordan.
At only 22 years old, Edwards has already earned two NBA All-Star selections and secured a spot on Team USA’s star-studded roster for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.
Despite his rapid rise, Edwards remains focused on team success rather than individual accolades. When asked about being labeled the best American player, Edwards responded candidly in an interview with Yahoo Sports.
“I’m just trying to win with the Minnesota [Timberwolves]. I don’t really care about that other stuff,” Edwards asserted.
During the past season, Edwards showcased his immense talent, averaging a career-high 25.9 points, along with 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game in 35.1 minutes of play.
His stellar performance was instrumental in guiding the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals, marking a significant achievement for the young star and his team.
