Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner secures a massive contract extension, setting a new benchmark in NBA deals.

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Wagner has inked a five-year, $224 million maximum rookie contract extension, potentially escalating to $269 million based on incentives.

Wagner’s contract includes provisions that could see him earn up to 30% of the team’s salary cap if he achieves All-NBA honors.

Wagner, 22, showcased his talent last season with impressive averages: 19.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.

Wagner’s elder brother, Moritz, also re-signed with the Magic, solidifying the Wagner presence on the team.
