The Sacramento Kings maintain interest in Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma. The Athletic’s Anthony Slater and Sam Amick reported this ongoing interest.

The Kings’ interest in trading for Kuzma has varied but has picked up again this summer. His contract is appealing due to its affordability and declining rate over the next three seasons.

Kuzma’s contract includes $23.5 million for the upcoming season, $21.4 million for the next, and $19.4 million for the final year, with a trade kicker adding $3 million each season unless waived. This makes him a valuable target for the Kings.

Kuzma had a standout season, averaging a career-high 22.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 32.6 minutes per game for the Wizards. His performance last season has made him a significant asset.

The Kings are looking to bolster their roster and Kuzma fits their needs with his scoring and versatility. Sacramento’s front office is evaluating how Kuzma could complement their existing lineup.
