Bobby Portis credited Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers for elevating his game this season.

“I love playing for Doc [Rivers]…Doc unlocked a new player in me, he took my game to another level,” Portis said on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back.

Rivers was hired by the Bucks midseason following the dismissal of first-year coach Adrian Griffin. Portis acknowledged the impact Rivers has had on his performance since joining the team.

This season, Portis averaged 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds in 24.5 minutes per game.
