Despite defeating the Spurs by 25 points just two days earlier and with San Antonio missing Victor Wembanyama in the lineup during the rematch, the Suns suffered a two-point loss to a team outside playoff contention.

Bradley Beal expressed disappointment, acknowledging that the team underestimated the Spurs without Wembanyama.

He admitted to being outplayed and highlighted the Spurs’ aggressive approach, noting the team’s failure to respond effectively to their opponent’s intensity.

“It’s disappointment,” Beal said. “We came in here and laid an egg. We thought it was going to be easy with no Wemby. Just got our (butt) kicked.

“They came out aggressive, just like Coach (Frank Vogel) told us they would, and we didn’t respond. Well, we did, but we didn’t withstand their punches.”
