Following the Los Angeles Clippers’ 129-107 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, head coach Tyronn Lue offered insights into the team’s performance.
Despite the defeat, Lue dismissed the significance of the game as a barometer for the Clippers’ playoff prospects.
Lue emphasized that the true test will come during the playoffs, where the team’s performance will be a more accurate gauge of their capabilities.
Acknowledging areas for improvement, Lue highlighted the need to shore up defensive lapses moving forward.
“I don’t think it’s a barometer game,” Lue said, per Ohm Youngmisuk. “The barometer game is when we get to the playoffs and see what happens then. We know we have to get a lot better, especially cleaning up stuff (on) defensive end.”
With both teams closely positioned in the Western Conference standings, the loss serves as a reminder for the Clippers to elevate their game as they approach the postseason.
