PJ Tucker has decided not to request a buyout from the Los Angeles Clippers and will stay with the team for the remainder of the season.

Tucker’s $11.5 million player option for the 2024-25 season played a significant role in this decision, as a buyout was considered unlikely due to the possibility of a trade in the upcoming season.

Tucker became a part of the Clippers through a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers involving James Harden. Despite falling out of Tyronn Lue’s rotation and expressing a desire for a trade, Tucker has opted to remain with the Clippers for the time being.
