Anadolu Efes is dealing with a series of setbacks, missing key players such as Will Clyburn, Rodrigue Beaubois, Elijah Bryant, Tibor Pleiss, Derek Willis, and Ante Zizic.

On top of that, Erkan Yilmaz sustained a shoulder injury against Panathinaikos, sidelining him for three months.

Despite these challenges, Shane Larkin expresses optimism about the team’s resilience. He acknowledges the ongoing injury woes since the preparation period, preventing them from showcasing their full squad potential.

However, he emphasizes the need to confront the EuroLeague season without excuses, as the coach works on implementing a new system.

The focus is on battling with the available players, improving day by day, and maintaining a winning mindset to have a chance in every match.

“We have had injuries since the preparation period,” Larkin said. “We haven’t even seen what we can do as a full squad yet. Of course, these are not excuses. The EuroLeague season is not going to wait for us to get healthy.

“We need to deal with this. Coach is trying to build a new system. We must be ready to fight with players who can take the field and get better day by day. As long as we can do this and show our character, we will have a chance to win every match.”
