The Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun shared some of his thoughts on Turkey competing in the Pre-Olympic Qualifiers.
“Everyone has self-confidence because we played the match with the fans in Istanbul,” Sengun said. “I joined late but I was ready. I worked full-time this season and came ready for the national team. Most of the people on the team are my childhood friends anyway.
“There are 7-8 people from Banvit and Beşiktaş. I adapted quickly to the team. I’m not a difficult player anyway. I always give what the team needs. Like I said, I came ready and I’m playing.”
