After completing the practice matches with the Select Team, Team USA went up against Puerto Rico and comfortably secured a victory with a final score of 117-74. The game took place on Monday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

During this inaugural warm-up game for the upcoming 2023 FIBA World Cup, both Anthony Edwards and Cam Johnson achieved 15 points each. Mikal Bridges contributed 14 points, while Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jalen Brunson both scored 12 points individually.

“We can be a lot more physical, the guards can be a lot more physical up high and funnel things to the bigs down low if you do a good job of reading the game, playing a cat-and-mouse position where we can get some more blocks, wall up some,” Jackson said. “It’s really about making them miss and forcing them into tough shots at the rim.”
