Yesterday (24/7) Fotis Katsikaris officially presented the 15 players that will take part at the team’s preparation for the upcoming Eurobasket.

During the presentation of the team, coach Katsikaris pointed out the importance of good team chemistry, made clear that all 15 players have equal chances of playing in Croatia and concluded that he has a good feeling about this roster.
The Greeks will face Croatia, Netherlands, FYROM, Georgia and Slovenia during the Group stage in Zagreb and the Greek coach avoided to make any predictions. Biggest absence was Loukas Mavrokefalides who had a great season with Panathinaikos but Katsikaris stated that it was very tough to choose only 15 players out of all the talents that are out there.
The first friendly for the Greek team will be against Belgium at August 8th, while at 14 and 15th of the month they will participate in a tournament taking place in Istanbul against Turkey and Bosnia.
Everyone in the Greek side is very ambitious and is waiting for the first games to see the team in action.
