Austin Reaves led the Lakers in scoring in crucial Game 4 win against the Grizzlies (117-111). The 24-year-old shooting guard scored 23 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 6 assists in 42 minutes of play.

Lakers fans expressed their appreciation of Reaves by chanting M-V-P at Crypto.com Arena during the game.

“It’s love,” the player said about the chants during postgame press conference. “I’ve said many times, I’m clearly not in the MVP race, but the way that they support me, the way I believe that they love the way that I play, I’m gonna give it everything I got every night.

“And like I’ve said many times, I play for this organization in front of these fans that expect this. They expect us to be in the playoffs and winning games and competing to go all the way.

“Just as far as the MVP stuff, it’s special, it’s a dream come true. If you told me that, shoot, two years ago, I’d have told you you were crazy.”

Reaves is averaging 17.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4 assists in 36.3 minutes over 4 playoff games.
