The Clippers lost Game 3 at home against the Suns (124-129) and are now trailing 1-2 in the series. Los Angeles missed its two superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Despite the loss, Clippers head coach Ty Lue was happy with what he saw from his team.

“We had some bad fouls when we got in the penalty early,” he said postgame. “We wanted to bring up physicality but we got to be a little smarter. We can’t foul off the ball when they’re in a bonus and things like that.

“I like what we brought, we did some good things. I loved our fighting and our competitive nature tonight. I thought everybody brought it. Some call just didn’t go our way.

“Like I said, just a small lineup came in, they played well, we fought, we competed. A couple times it’s hard for us to get rebounds. You got Bones [Hyland] on [Deandre] Ayton down low in rotations. But like I said, I love our fight, I love what we did tonight.”
