Austin Reaves is set to become a restricted free agent this summer after completing his second year with the Lakers.

Los Angeles will be able to offer him a 4-year, $50 million and reportedly both sides are interested in signing the deal.

However, some analysts like former NBA player Chandler Parsons think that other teams will outbid the Lakers and Reaves will move elsewhere.

For the 24-year-old shooting guard himself, he says that he wants to be a Laker in future.

“Yeah, I want to be a Laker,” Reaves told Shams Charania. “Obviously they gave me the first opportunity. I was a huge Laker fan growing up, big Kobe fan, so honestly just to be able to play for the Lakers organization is special.

“I want to be a Laker, so hopefully we can get this done and I can stay there for hopefully my whole career.”

This season Reaves averaged 13 points, 3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 28.8 minutes per game.
