Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined for 60 points as they kept the Mavericks alive in the season with the win over the Kings (123-119).

Dallas tied the record of the Thunder (38-42) but remains below them because Oklahoma City has the tiebreaker. In order for the Mavs to make the play-in tournament, they need to get one win more than OKC over the remaining two games.

After the game Doncic praised Irving, who led the team in scoring with 31 points. “It was amazing to watch. When we most needed him, he showed up, so it was amazing to watch,” the Slovenian superstar said about his teammate.

“The caliber the player that Kyrie is is insane. The plays he made – insane. Especially down the stretch. So many tough shots he made. But he’s known for that. It’s amazing to watch.”
