The NBA isn’t expected to flip Draymond Green’s 16th technical foul this season which he committed against the L.A. Clippers last Wednesday, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. As such, the league announced its decision in a press release.

Green will automatically serve his one-game suspension without pay on the Warriors’ next matchup against the Atlanta Hawks this Friday.

The NBA limited its players to 16 technical fouls in a season. Should a specific player reach it, he will automatically serve a one-game suspension.

Two more technicals for the player who attained 16 fouls will result in another one-game suspension.

The veteran will join Memphis Grizzlies wing Dillon Brooks as players who have limited themselves in the NBA’s technical foul counts this 2022-23 campaign. Thankfully enough, their respective count will reset once the playoffs finally hit soon in mid-April.

Green clinched the technical call during the first half of Golden States’ 134-126 loss against Los Angeles after hitting Russell Westbrook’s head using the game ball.
