The Warriors rather comfortably defeated the Suns at home (123-112). Golden State never gave up the lead after a very strong first quarter (43-21).
In the middle of the second quarter with the Dubs leading by 18 points, Steph Curry muscled his way to the basket through Chris Paul for two-and-one.
“This ain’t 2014 no more,” he said after the play which was caught by the camera. Paul was asked about the game what he thought about the phrase.
The Suns’ point guard avoided the question for a bit and then reacted as if he did not know what Curry’s phrase refers to.
In 2014 the Clippers team with Chris Paul on it eliminated Curry’s Warriors from the playoffs.
