Warriors superstar Steph Curry took to social media to say goodbye to the departing Jordan Poole and welcome his new teammate Chris Paul.
“So now that the trade is actually final, I thought like I would come on here and just say to JP how much I appreciate the four years brother,” Curry said on Instagram video. “You’re a champion. You grew up right in front of everybody’s face in terms of that first year where it was rough and a lot of injuries and trying to find way to going to G League and coming back and helping us finish 15-5 down the stretch of that second year.
“That’s winning a championship your third year and fighting to the end this past year. Can’t wait to see you blossom big fella. Can’t wait to see you shine in your own situation. Just looking forward to competing and obviously being a fan of everything that you’ve become. Good luck to you.”
The four-time NBA champion ended the video with a short message to Chris Paul, saying “And you know CP, can’t wait to ride with you brother. It’s going to be different with us on the same side. Let’s get it!”
