Clippers’ superstar Kawhi Leonard is not known for being a big talker. It’s actually quite the opposite. But for his new teammate Russell Westbrook that’s not an issue at all.

The former NBA MVP says that the most important thing is that Leonard is competing, the talking Westbrook can do for him.

“Kawhi’s great,” Russ said after the win against the Knicks. “I’ve known Kawhi from the outside just being from LA. He competes, great to play, plays the game at a high level. That’s all you can ask for.

“He don’t got to talk. I can talk for him. I talk enough for everybody. As long he’s going out there and competing, anything he needs from me, he knows I have his back. And that’s vice versa.”

Leonard, two-time NBA champion, is averaging 23.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 33.4 minutes per game.
