Tyrese Haliburton recorded an impressive double-double with 29 points and 19 assists in the Pacers’ overtime win over the Rockets (134-125).

The 23-year-old point guard, who became an All-Star this season for the first time in his career, scored 12 of Indiana’s 19 points in overtime.

Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle sees similarities between Indiana’s great Reggie Miller and Haliburton in how both players thrive in crunch time.

“Well, he took over the game in the overtime,” Carlise said about Haliburton. “He certainly has demonstrated that that is what he’s about. He loves those moments very much the way Reggie Miller loved those moments.

“He doesn’t get discouraged if some things during the game don’t go exactly his way. He keeps playing and he stays aggressive and he has great confidence. That gives the team great confidence. He was tremendous. He was really just amazing in overtime.”

This season Haliburton is averaging 20.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 10.3 assists in 33.6 minutes per game.
