Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle says that veteran James Johnson is doing a tremendous job as a leader.

“These guys have fun together and they pull for each other. We have very good locker room chemistry. Tyrese sets the tone for a lot of that, but it’s not just him. James Johnson, who you don’t hear much about, has given us a very strong locker room presence. He manages a lot of the stuff that goes on in there. He makes sure that guys are thinking the right way and are ready to play. He’s super supportive. Always saying the right things. He’s been an asset for us.”
