The Clippers have been considered one of the favorites to win the championship every year since Kawhi Leonard and Paul George joined the team in 2019.

This season is no different. Currently the Clippers are sixth in the Western Conference with 35 wins and 33 losses. Recently Los Angeles recovered from a five-game losing streak with two straight wins.

Despite substantial roster changes prior and after the trade deadline, the most notable being addition of Russell Westbrook, George thinks that the team is good enough to win the championship.

“I mean, we just have what it takes,” he said, per Andrew Greif. “We have what it takes. For us it’s just putting it together on both ends, but we have what it takes. We’ve proven that even within the losses, we’ve proven that we can compete and it’s just small stuff that we gotta clean up and take ownership of.”
