Anthony Davis scored 30 points and LeBron James added 26 as their Los Angeles Lakers beat the Dallas Mavericks 111-108 on Sunday. Following the game, the Mavs head coach Jason Kidd talked about the team’s defensive efforts against Davis, who also grabbed 15 rebounds:

“I thought C Wood [Christian Wood] did a good job when he was matched up with him. I also thought DP [Dwight Powell] did a really good job understanding AD [Anthony Davis] is one of the best players in the world, and when you can keep him on the perimeter, you might have a chance.”

“AD shot the mid-range well and then he also attacked. We tried to give as much help as we could with both of those guys, but I thought they did it a really good job of trying to keep him out of the paint, but that’s not easy to do when you’re talking about AD. He’s one of the best in the world.”
