Anthony Davis had a big game as he helped the Lakers defeat the Mavericks on the road (111-108). The 29-year-old forward scored team-high 30 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in 37 minutes of play.

After the game Lakers head coach Darvin Ham talked about the way that the superstar performed, also revealing a nickname that he has for Davis.

“I know he’s having fun, again, playing pain-free. And that’s when you see it when he’s really emotionally, spiritually involved in the game, not just physically,” Ham said.

“We try to ride with him a little bit, feed him, call his number continuously and he delivered. He just changing shots defensively, rebounding, getting out really going to his spots, knowing what he wants to get out of each offensive possession. It was huge.

“He was Wilt Davis as I like to nickname him. Wilt Davis was on full display today.”

This season Davis is averaging 25.6 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 33.2 minutes per game.
