With Kyrie Irving running the bench group, the Dallas Mavericks have added a few layers recently, including the use of double-drag screens. Last game, Christian Wood and a wing shooter were screeners. The Mavs head coach Jason Kidd was asked about those sequences:
“The ability to have shooting and the option of rolling or being able to pop with C Wood. He has great hands when he rolls and the ability to finish. Kai’s ability to change pace to get into the paint and, again, as we talked about earlier, his ability to create shots for others. He has a great feel for when he has to go get his.”
