Aaron Gordon has an interesting reward for fans to boost his odds to become an All-Star this 2022-2023 campaign.

In an interview with Rohan Nadkarni of Sports Illustrated, the Denver Nuggets wing plea to participate in the Slam Dunk contest should he be able to be named an NBA All-Star this season.

“If I’m in the All-Star Game, I’ll do the dunk contest,” Gordon said.

Gordon, one of the most notable competitors in the Slam Dunk contest from the previous years, was painfully defeated by both Zach LaVine (2016) and Derrick Jones Jr. (2020) amid his electrifying and jaw-dropping flushes that were already uploaded in the minds of basketball fans.

Following his close defeat against Jones Jr. in the 2020 battle, the veteran made it known that he is not joining the said competition anymore.

Gordon is savoring a potential All-Star year this season for the Nuggets, averaging 16.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while helping the club is currently holding the West’s top slate. He is also shooting a career-high 58.8 percent from the field.

Salt Lake City is set to host this year’s All-Star Weekend, with the All-Star Game scheduled on Feb. 19.
