The San Antonio Spurs have inked Gorgui Dieng for a second 10-day deal, the team announced Friday which was first reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Dieng initially signed a 10-day deal with the Spurs last Jan. 8 but went on to play just one minute in the total short span.

Last offseason, the veteran big man landed a minimum deal with the Spurs, averaging just 4.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 13 games played. He was eventually waived by the team to make room for Noah Vonleh.

The retainment of Dieng by the Spurs only gives a clear picture that the club values his leadership and experience around their young team.
