The Lakers suffered a loss in double-overtime against the Mavericks (115-119). Los Angeles held a three-point lead at the end of the fourth quarter and at the end of the first overtime, but Luka Doncic tied the score on both occasions with step-back three pointers.

After the game, LeBron James was asked if he saw any similarities between this and other tight-ending games this season, like the one against the Celtics.

“The one consistent thing that we have is a billion different lineups,” the four-time NBA champion said. “That’s the most consistent.”

“It’s not about trust,” James refuted the notion that there might be some trust issues. “We have trust in whoever’s on the floor. But at the end of the day, you have teams have closing lineups.

“We got so many guys that are in and out of the lineup. Right now we got a lot of guys that’s banged up. So it’s almost like who’s in a good rhythm that night is going to be probably on the floor along myself and Russ.”
