Bojan Bogdanovic overtook Tony Kukoc as Croatia’s all-time scoring leader in the NBA as he scored 28 points against the Timberwolves.

Kukoc, a three-time NBA champion with the Bulls, scored a total of 9,810 points in 13 years in the league.

Bogdanovic added 21 points in the loss against the Trail Blazers and with 9,856 points is now the all-time leading scorer in the NBA from Croatia.

He talked about what it means for him reach such milestone. The 33-year-old small forward remembered basketball legends from his country who made an impact in the NBA.

“It’s big time for me because we’re had some really, really great players in the league,” Bogdanovic said, per James L. Edwards III. “Toni Kukoc won a couple of rings with MJ in Chicago. We had Drazen Petrovic, who played a couple season. Dino Radja was big in Boston, so it’s always a great accomplishment from where I came from and started to play basketball. It’s just big.”

This season Bogdanovic is averaging 20.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 31.1 minutes per game.
