LeBron James delivered a 40-plus points performance for the second straight game as he dropped 43 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Lakers past the Hornets (121-115).

After the game Lakers head coach Darvin Ham talked about the four-time NBA champion and how he is carrying the Purple and Gold.

“He’s feeling good,” Ham said about James. “He is in a good space physically and he’s really at this point where I think the game has completely slowed down for him where he can see things three, four plays ahead, three, four, five seconds ahead.

“He’s done a great job as I mentioned just here earlier. Knowing when to attack really getting out and running, getting himself some easy buckets in transition, reading the pick and roll whether he’s setting the screen, whether he’s handling reading how the defense’s playing him – whether they’re blitzing him or hedging or whatever.

“And he’s making the right play. It’s given his teammates around him a ton of confidence or teams just can’t collapse a defense on LeBron.

“When guys step up and make shots – Troy Brown making threes, Pat Bev making threes Thomas Bryant rolling finishing in the paint, Austin coming out and making plays. It’s getting the ball moving, it’s getting our team a ton of confidence. Hopefully, we’re continue to trend in that direction.”

This season James is averaging 28.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and 6.6 assists in 35.9 minutes per game.
