The Lakers recorded their second win in a row by defeating the Hornets on the road (121-115). For Charlotte it was a second straight loss.

Despite missing two starters – Anthony Davis and Lonnie Walker IV – as well as losing Russell Westbrook after just 11 minutes of play, Los Angeles managed to secure the victory.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham talked about how his team managed to win this game, saying that his player locked in and focused on details.

“I think we came out with a defensive focus, just really guys being engaged, then pick and roll, off the ball, our shift, our activity, rebounding,” Ham said. “There was definitely a more focus to detail. It was a lot of good dialogue back and forth in the film session, our practice yesterday, our film session this morning.

“I think guys just locked in. Each game is opportunity for us to shrink that gap in the win-loss column. Tonight was another step in the right direction

” Kudos to Charlotte. They’re tough, man. You got to beat them the full 48 minutes. You cannot relax. They have some really capable shooters over there, some high level playmakers.

“So, yeah we had little slippage in the second half giving up 70 points. But at the end of the day a win is a win and any time you can win in this league you should be thankful and grateful and we are just that. Looking forward to getting back to our home floor.”
