Hawks star Trae Young was fined $25,000 for throwing the game ball into the spectator stands. The 24-year-old point guard was dumbfounded by the penalty as he admitted to not knowing that what he did was not allowed.
Young opened the tweet with 26 laughing emojis and wrote “Sorry to the hawks fan(s) who got a chance to touch the game winning ball. Didn’t know I couldn’t do that. Can’t Celebrate shit anymore.”
As can be seen in the following video, Young threw the ball up into the stands as he celebrated a buzzer-beating win over the Bulls after his alley-oop to AJ Griffin.
