Kawhi Leonard scored season-high 25 points helping the Clippers defeat the Celtics (113-93), a team with the best record in the NBA.

In addition, the two-time NBA champion grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 6 assists in 29 minutes of play. Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said that he expected a big game from Leonard.

“We know Kawhi, and we know he’s a gamer and so the #1 team in the league is coming into your building and you have two tandemic players who are playing well … he’s up for that challenge,” Lue said. “We knew it’s going to be a big game for him. I really felt comfortable with his game coming into tonight.”

This season Kawhi is averaging 11.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 25 minutes per game. He has only played 9 games so far.
