When the Jazz traded Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell this offseason, many expected this to be a long season for the team.

So far it has been anything but that. Eighteen games into the season Utah is sitting atop the Western Conference with 12 wins and 6 losses.

A big part of the Jazz success is due to Jordan Clarkson who is averaging career-high 18.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 30.8 minutes per game.

The 30-year-old point guard has one more year left on his current contract which is a player option. According to Marc Stein, Utah is more likely to extend Clarkson before they consider trading him.
