Houston Rockets forward Jae’Sean Tate will miss some extended time due to a nagging right ankle soreness.

Per head coach Stephen Silas ahead of the Rockets’ Monday matchup against the L.A. Clippers, Tate will be out for the next two-to-three weeks and will be re-evaluated (h/t Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan Feigan).

Tate has been dealing with right ankle injury since the Rockets’ training camp, holding him to just three games played this season with an average of 8.3 points, 4.3 boards and 3.3 assists.

With his absence being stretched, Kenyon Martin Jr., Tari Eason and Usman Garuba will continue to enjoy their added minutes in rotation for Houston.
