Sacramento Kings’ De’Aaron Fox leaves early on his team’s Monday duel against the Charlotte Hornets due to right knee soreness.

Fox was injured after colliding his knee with Hornets’ Nick Richards in the early second frame. He briefly returned to the game for a few minutes, but was announced unavailable to play.

He finished up with eight points and one assist prior to his departure, as the Kings went on to carve a 115-108 road win amid his absence behind another hot shooting night from Kevin Huerter and the step up made by Davion Mitchell.

In six games this 2022-23 season, Fox is currently averaging 24.5 points (54.8 percent shooting), 6.0 boards, 4.8 assists in 30.8 minutes played so far for Sacramento.
