The Charlotte Hornets defeated the Sacramento Kings 134-90 after hitting a franchise-tying 26 three-pointers on Tuesday night. 

Coby White led the Hornets with 27 points, including six three-pointers. LaMelo Ball added 20 with six triples, and Moussa Diabate added 17 and 11 rebounds for the Hornets. 

Kon Knueppel added four threes to move into second place in franchise history for made in a season with 247. He needs 14 to pass Kemba Walker, who is now a player enhancement coach with the Hornets.

The 26 3-pointers matched the franchise record set on March 14, 2025, at San Antonio.

Charlotte has pulled within two games of the Atlanta Hawks for sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

On the other hand, Daeqwon Plowden had 22 points and  Malik Monk had a career-high 14 assists for the Kings.

The Hornets continued their momentum to a  72-47 lead at halftime, shooting 13 of 29 from beyond the arc with Ball and White leading the way with four each at the midway point. They maintained and had a 46-point lead in the fourth quarter.

Both teams will play on Thursday night: the Kings visit Orlando while the Hornets host the Knicks.
