Andre Iguodala is coming on a defense while making it clear that the accusations and murmurs against Draymond Green and Jordan Poole are untrue.

Posting a tweet on Thursday, Iguodala dismissed the claims being given on Poole following the embattled inside issue in the Golden State Warriors practice facility on Wednesday. Meanwhile, he stands no problem also on the side of Green.

The Athletic’s Marcus Thompson II, Anthony Slater, Shams Charania have earlier reported that both players were engaged in a heated altercation, wherein Green even hurled a punch against Poole. The two went “chest-to-chest” and needed to be separated quickly.

Per Yahoo! Sports’ Chris Haynes, Green, who is likely to be slapped by a disciplinary action from the team after escalating the issue, already expressed being apologetic on what happened. As such, there were rumblings of a “buildup” coming from their teammates that Poole is having a changing behavior throughout the camp, wherein he is on the cusp of inking a lucrative contract extension.

Both Green and Poole are extension-eligible before the regular season goes for the tip-off.

Green already claimed that he doesn’t expect to be handed a contract extension before the Oct. 17 deadline. Following the 2022-23 campaign, he still has a $27MM player option, which he may likely opt out to ink a much bigger offer from the market as an unrestricted free-agent. As it stands, Green believes that he deserves a max contract.

Meanwhile, Poole can be signed for a maximum rookie scale extension worth $188 million in five years. He is maintaining his optimism to land one before the negotiation talks close its doors.

The two served as an integral component of their recent title run and will also continue to play crucial roles of their dominance on a long-term picture. Time can only tell on how both sides will reconcile and how the Dubs will be able to retain them moving forward.
