Forward Danilo Gallinari also underwent a successful revision to repair his ACL tear in his left knee. He will be out indefinitely.

Gallinari suffered from the said injury while representing Italy in the previous 2022 World Cup Qualifiers in late August.

Gallinari was acquired by the Celtics this offseason via two-year, $13 million contract. With fellow newcomer Malcolm Brogdron, he was assumed to provide offensive production for the title-contending club.

The Italian veteran averaged 11.7 points, 4.7 boards in 43.4 percent shooting for the Atlanta Hawks last season.
