Zach LaVine had become an unrestricted free agent this summer and was free to choose where to continue his career, but he signed a new contract with the Bulls to remain in Chicago.

In a recent interview the 27-year-old shooting guard revealed that after the team offered him everything that he wanted, he did not even think about joining another team.

“I went into the offseason with an open mind,” LaVine explained on Monday, when discussing his recently signed five-year, $215 million max contract. “Once I was able to meet with Marc and AK, and they came to me with everything that I wanted, there was no other reason for me to go outside and look at any other teams. “I think that would have been, for me, disrespectful on my end because they gave me everything that I asked for.”

This past season LaVine averaged 24.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 34.7 minutes per game. He was named an All-Star for the second year in row.
