Zach LaVine reportedly prefers to remain with the Chicago Bulls despite ongoing trade speculation surrounding the two-time All-Star. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, LaVine has not pushed for a trade and would like to stay in Chicago beyond the February 6 trade deadline.

LaVine’s name has been linked to trade discussions since the Bulls explored moving him during the 2023-24 season. Teams like the Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns have been mentioned as potential landing spots, with Phoenix considering a possible swap involving Bradley Beal. However, Stein emphasized that LaVine’s preference to stay does not guarantee he won’t be traded if Chicago receives an appealing offer.

This season, LaVine has been a standout performer for the Bulls, averaging 24 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Despite his strong play, Chicago is struggling, sitting 10th in the Eastern Conference with a 19-26 record. The team’s disappointing performance has fueled speculation about potential roster changes as they evaluate their long-term direction.

LaVine, 29, is in the third year of his five-year, $215 million contract. His combination of scoring ability and athleticism has made him one of the league’s most dynamic offensive players, and his continued production has kept him in contention for a third career All-Star selection.
