The former NBA player Adreian Payne was shot and killed Monday morning after he had a dispute with a man named Lawrence Dority outside Dority’s Orlando, Fla., residence, according to police.

In court documents, obtained by TMZ, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Dority’s “act was a premeditated killing.”

Adreian Payne, 31, played four seasons for three teams. Payne’s career averages were 4.0 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 107 regular-season games.
