It has been an up-and-down season for Klay Thompson this year. The 32-year-old shooting guard returned to action in January after missing two and a half years due to serious injuries.

The Warriors star has had games where he scored 30+ points as well as games that he finished with 15 or less points. According to Golden State’s head coach Steve Kerr, that is because Thompson wants to get back to his usual self so badly.

“Overall, he’s played really well. I think he’s been up and down though, and he hasn’t been consistent during that time because I think emotionally he wants this so badly, and he tends to press a little bit,” Kerr said, per Mark Haynes of ClutchPoints.

Golden State has already clinched a playoff berth but their seed is yet to be determined. Currently they are third in the Western Conference but could theoretically drop to as low as sixth place
