A quadriceps injury kept Victor Oladipo off the court for nearly a year. He finally made his comeback in March but has not played more than 25 minutes.

Over the six regular season games that the 29-year-old shooting guard has played so far this season he averaged 6.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 18.3 minutes per game.

As of late Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra kept Oladipo out of his rotations. He stayed on the bench for the last three games. The players admits that it is out of his control and there are more important things than his playing time.

“It just is what it is,” Oladipo said. “At the end of the day, it’s bigger than me.

“So I just got to continue to keep getting strong, keep doing what I can, to stay ready.”

With four regular season games left to play Miami is sitting atop the Eastern Conference with 50 wins and 28 losses. The gap between the Heat and the next three teams in the standings is very small so losing a couple of games could knock the team out of the first seed.
