Former NBA superstar Tracy McGrady doesn’t buy the claims of James Harden being hurt. The former MVP recently secured a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers but won’t be making his debut until after the All-Star break as he is understood to be dealing with a hamstring issue.

McGrady, who joined TNT’s Pregame Show on Tuesday, cast doubts on whether Harden is actually hurt.

“We all know Philly was his first choice before he went to Brooklyn. When things hit the fan, he wanted out of there,” the Hall of Famer declared. “He shut it down. He wasn’t hurt. He wasn’t hurt. He shut it down. Y’all think he’s hurt right now? You don’t rehab a hammy by doing stepbacks.”

Harden will have 24 games to get used to Philadelphia’s system before the playoffs begin and it will be interesting to see how he gets along with MVP candidate Joel Embiid.
