Lakers rookie Austin Reaves earned a spot, despite being on a team filled with veteran players. The 23-year-old shooting guard is viewed by his teammates and coaching staff alike as an important piece on the roster.

According to Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, Reaves carries himself as a veteran but sill has rookie moments. “Young players have those [rookie] moments,” he said.

“I would say he’s less than most rookies that I’ve coached though. He really carries himself like a vet. His attention to detail is unlike a lot of rookies that I’ve worked with. But he definitely has his young player moments.”

This season Reaves is averaging 6.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 21.1 minutes per game for Los Angeles.
