After defeating the Nets, the Lakers are set to take on another Eastern Conference team the 76ers and their superstar Joel Embiid.

The Cameroonian center is one of the most dominant big men in the entire NBA who will provide a big challenge for the Los Angeles’ front court.

According to James Worthy, who won three championships as a Laker, the purple and gold will need help from Dwight Howard and a collective effort to wear Embiid down.

“It’s going to take a collective effort,” Worthy said on Spectrum SportsNet. “He’s such a massive force, can do so many things on the court.

“I do think Dwight Howard… I would throw anything in the kitchen sink at him just to wear him down, take a little bit of pressure off of AD since it’s going to be only his second game coming back.

“So I think Dwight Howard may play a role. Six fouls, he can come in and get physical and help slow him down. Meanwhile AD continues to progress.”

This season Embiid is playing MVP-level basketball as he is averaging 29 points, 10.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game for Philadelphia.
