Lakers newcomer Stanley Johnson played a major role in the four quarter against the Jazz as he scored 10 of his 15 points to help his team win the game.

In a postgame interview he concurred that in previous games the purple and gold did not bring the energy necessary to win. Johnson also said that it is his job to bring energy to the Lakers. “I think that my job is to bring energy and to bring toughness and just bring intangible things that I think through my experience I’ve learned those things help you win games,” he said.

“And then secondly thing everybody says stuff like that but we watch the film and we really care about winning so it’s like we see it too. We got in like grown professionals, we love this stuff. So it’s like we want to change too. It was loud and clear how we all felt about it and that it’s different when you go out there and you give your all and you lose and then go out there and you kind of like pump faking a little bit , you’re like ‘Okay what is that?’

“We work our whole life to be doing this and then we kind of don’t give ourselves a chance to win That stinks, that stinks. I think tonight we made some good adjustments and we played a lot harder and look what happened – we won the game. I think we could have played better to be honest. That’s a good team by the way.”
